When Robert Deluce proposed that Porter fly jets out of the Billy Bishop, Island Airport in 2013 he called them “whisper jets” to head off criticism. Now the evidence is in. Claiming these planes were “whisper” quiet was either a gross exaggeration or a blatant lie.
Below is the link to an article in the Financial Post about excessive noise created by the Bombardier C Series jet, the very aircraft that Deluce proposed using at the Island Airport.
Residents living close to the Zurich Airport, where the C Series jet is used, say, “it is even louder than other machines flying in.” It creates, “a strange howling noise,” that sounds like, “an orca mating call.”
Should we ever believe the promoter of an airline again?
