Another letter to Adam Vaughan

Dear Adam:

I recently heard of the sale of the 1.8 acre parcel of land at 30 Bay /60 Harbour Street to Oxford Properties with the proceeds going to Ports Toronto.  I’m extremely disappointed.  I was hoping that you and the Liberals would put a further crimp on the subsidies and support to the island airport.  The noise and grid lock continue to plague our waterfront neighbourhood.  Ports Toronto and Porter will continue to push for expansion in anyway possible.  I fear they will soon grab more of the Toronto Island Park as they don’t really have room enough for their present level of operation.  Sometimes 3 or 4 Q400’s take turns sitting idling for hours at the western end of the taxiway waiting for a gate to become free as they don’t have enough gates for their present operation.
