I was awoken this morning at 6:45 by an engine run-up. It measured 110db on my sound meter. My sleep was cut short and so was the sleep of thousands of others.
We know that insufficient sleep is a great detriment to health. Is anybody calculating the health costs of this sleep interruption?
Is anybody calculating the economic costs from all of its ramifications like sickness causing people to miss work, people making poor economic decisions due to lack of sleep, etc?
